Momentum Ensemble recently spent the day at Trackdown Studios in Sydney with esteemed conductor Tianyi Lu, recording eight orchestral fanfares composed by the winners of the 2018 Artology Fanfare Competition.

Every year, aspiring young composers from around the country are invited enter the competition, and eight lucky winners are given the chance to be mentored by a professional composer, and to have their composition performed and recorded by the musicians of the Australian Youth Orchestra. These fanfare recordings will be heard at concert venues around Australia over the coming year, where they will be used to cue audience members to take their seats.
