Through the decadence and grandeur of Ravel’s La Valse, and the shimmering mystique of Szymanowski’s Violin Concerto No. 2, the young musicians of the AYO rose to the challenges of this colossal program. Concluding with Prokofiev’s momentous Symphony No. 5, the energy inside the concert hall was electric.
