Our Impact

Founded in 1948, the Australian Youth Orchestra is one of the world’s most prestigious and innovative musical training organisations.

From primary education through to professional immersion, more than 3,500 young Australians from all states and territories participate in AYO’s programs every year. Today, our alumni grace the orchestral stages from the London Symphony to the LA Philharmonic and fill over 65% of professional orchestral positions in Australia.

As a catalyst for personal growth and development, AYO programs are about more than music. For many, AYO is an experience participants keep for life.
