About AYO Professional Immersions
The AYO Professional Immersion is designed for young musicians on the cusp of professional careers. The program acts as a springboard for those wanting to pursue performance at an elite level providing you with the skills to establish a diverse and successful career in music.
For orchestral applicants, these exciting fellowships give you the opportunity to receive valuable one-on-one mentoring from a member of a professional orchestra. Your mentor will guide you through a range of focus areas such as audition preparation, as well as providing unique coaching in concerto and excerpt workshops. This mentorship will help you refine the skills and knowledge needed to enter the rich world of professional orchestral music.
Note: Limited positions are offered to outstanding musicians and participants as selected by AYO in collaboration with our partnering orchestras. Immersion opportunities vary year to year and applicants may not be considered for opportunities they have previously undertaken.

AYO will arrange and cover interstate travel and instrument freight, if required. All meals, transfers and accommodation will be provided.
Financial assistance is available to help offset the program fees and ensure all eligible musicians are able to participate. Find out more here.

Inclusive as at 1 January 2027.
Eligibility:
Open to Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion.
Standard:
Standard of playing TBA.
