Music in Me 2026 Summit | Sydney | ACO on the Pier / Walsh Bay Arts Precinct

The school term was off to a bang thanks to the 2026 Music in Me Summit which celebrated all things primary music education. The day saw countless inspiring sessions and presenters; hands-on, interactive sessions to get us moving and learning; rich conversations and new connections. With a huge diversity of sessions on offer choir-aerobics, drumming circles to musical games for your classroom, the day was brought to an end with this year’s Bigger Sing, led by Rachel Scott and Olivia Coe Fox, proud Wiradjuri vocalist combined to teach everyone a version of the iconic song ‘I am Australian’ which incorporated Yawuru language, AUSLAN and English lyric.

I loved learning more about how to teach music using different pedagogies and meeting other people that love teaching music as much as we do.

I think the singing has been so nice in a few different sessions to be able to sing with people to start the day that way and then to carry it on in in some of the elective sessions has been great.
