AYO National Music Camp is the highlight of the year for many young Australian musicians and future arts leaders

The right words can powerfully influence an audience’s experience of live music. This program will immerse you in the world of online, radio and print mediums as you learn to expressively communicate about music and the cultural factors which influence it.
As a Media and Communications participant, you’ll learn the tricks of the trade behind music journalism and content creation. You’ll use these newfound skills to create inspiring, engaging pieces about the music you’ll hear every day at camp. Industry experts will guide you through the ins and outs of web and print publishing, as well as the exciting world of podcasting and broadcast techniques. You’ll further develop your writing skills and produce high-quality program notes.
From the minute you arrive at AYO National Music Camp, you’ll experience a whirl of new faces and first encounters with Australia’s brightest young players, composers, sound engineers and administrators. With an action-packed schedule, it’s important that your focus is on the program at hand. Rest assured, you will be well looked after, allowing you to concentrate on your preparation and performance. We provide airport transfers, comfortable shared accommodation and three meals per day.

Participants must cover their own transport and instrument freight costs to and from the program. All meals, transfers and accommodation will be provided.
