Richard Pollett Memorial Award
The Richard Pollett Memorial Award is an annual award that since 2012 has celebrated musical skill and personal attributes, providing a generous gift to support future endeavours of exceptional individuals. The Richard Pollett Award does not accept applications.
A list of exceptional young musicians is produced by a group of nominators who are selected each year by the AYO Artistic Advisory Committee.
We look forward to celebrating these exceptional individuals and announcing the 2024 recipient of the Richard Pollett Award in the second semester of this year. They will join an illustrious alumni of award recipients who contribute significantly to the communities in which they work, study and perform.
Richard Pollett will long be remembered as a musician of extraordinary depth. Richard touched many through his playing and his personality, and was an inspiration to all who knew and heard him.
