AYO CEO and Board Director awarded Queen’s Birthday Honours
We’re proud to be sharing the news that our CEO Colin Cornish and our Board Director Dr Andrew Lu were awarded with the Order of Australia in the Queen’s birthday 2021 Honours List this past June. Colin and Andrew were both awarded Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
Colin has been our CEO since 2005, and his guidance and leadership has helped shape a generation of musicians coming through AYO. We are so proud to see Colin nationally recognised for the immense role that he’s had in shaping the state of youth arts in Australia! And as such, Colin was deservedly awarded for his contribution to performing arts, music and youth in Australia.
Andrew has been an active and valued member of the AYO Board of Directors since 2018. A true champion of the arts, Andrew’s passion has seen him take active roles across a number of arts organisations, all while continuing his extensive research of law practices. Andrew was awarded for significant service to the visual and performing arts, to the law, and to legal education.
Andrew’s passionate and continued contribution to the arts industry makes him a worthy recipient of this award.
