This September four AYO musicians will take to the stage in Dubbo alongside 300 young singers from regional and remote New South Wales for a ‘magic and unmissable” gala concert presented by Moorambilla Voices.

The four selected AYO musicians – Noah Lawrence (cello), Mia Baivucago (viola), Natalie Kendy (violin) and Daniel Shao (violin) – will be accompanying the Moorambilla Voices choristers for three concerts on 27 and 28 September for the fourth in Moorambilla Voices’ Riversong series – inspired by the land and its communities.  

Moorambilla Voices is a multi-arts program for children and youth in remote and regional NSW. “Drawing inspiration from the awe-inspiring energy of the night sky and the stories of connection and contemplation from Gomeroi Country, this year’s concert – Riversong 2025: Skysong – weaves poetic music and powerful choreography to express ourshared sense of joy, wonder and the fragility of humanity beneath the Emuin the Sky,” said Moorambilla Voices Executive Director, Jacob Williams.

“In the spirit of Yindyamarra, we come together with inclusion and respect to share this extraordinary collection of works, performed by more than 300 children and young people from over 70 towns across NSW. They will share the stage with a professional chamber ensemble and we are delighted to welcome associate artists from our 2025 collaborating youth ensemble, the Australian Youth Orchestra, for what will undoubtedly be a magical and unmissable performance.”
