Momentum Ensemble are a dynamic group of performers powered by the Australian Youth Orchestra. Momentum Ensemble aims to democratize classical music, bring new interpretations and unconventional works to audiences, and perform in venues that transcend the boundaries of the traditional recital hall.

In an exciting collaboration, the ensemble will be joining forces with internationally acclaimed British/German violinist and director Jack Liebeck. Jack has performed as a soloist with orchestras across the world and his recording career features titles with Sony Classics, Hyperion Records and Albion Records. He is currently the Royal Academy of Music’s first Emie Sauret Professor of Violin and Artistic Director of festivals such as the Australian Festival of Chamber Music and Oxford May Music.

The performance in Tasmania’s picturesque Spring Bay Mill will reimagine the barriers between artist and audience. Jack and a string orchestra of fifteen spirited young musicians will move through an enthralling program of works by Vaughan Williams, Ravel, and Australian composers Richard Meale and Frederick Septimus Kelly.
