Adelaide-born Amanda Tillett studied at the Elder Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of Howard Parkinson, completing an Honours Degree in Classical Music in 2013.
She went on to study with Jessica Buzbee and Scott Kinmont at the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne, followed by two years as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Trombone Fellow for 2017 and 2018. Amanda has also appeared with the Queensland and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras, as well as Orchestra Victoria and Opera Australia. In 2022 Amanda was appointed Tutti Trombone with the TSO, and currently holds the position of Principal Bass Trombone with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
