About

Bridget Hutchinson is a Perth-based pianist and repetiteur. She graduated with first class honours in classical piano performance in 2025 from the UWA Conservatorium of Music under Graeme Gilling. A lover of all things classical music, Bridget involves herself in multiple pursuits, including performing as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician in concerts with organisations including WA Opera, Freeze Frame Opera, Mirabilis Collective, Perth Fringe, and a2. Orchestra. This year, she is additionally the recipient of an organ scholarship with Christchurch Claremont.

One of Bridget’s great interests is bridging the gap between audience and musician, which inspired her to be a part of the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Media and Communication program at the 2026 National Music Camp. She is a firm believer that providing audiences with knowledge of the music they engage with enhances their experiences and connections to the art-form, which she endeavours to provide through presenting pre-concert talks, interviews, socials, writing program notes and articles.
