About

Jenny Khafagi is a Melbourne-based freelancer with a passion for chamber music, having studied under Michele Walsh at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

She was a member of acclaimed contemporary group Syzygy Ensemble for nine years, and has also worked extensively with the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s Inspire Quartet. 

In recent years, Jenny has embarked on education tours around Australia for the Australian Chamber Orchestra on violin, and joined the ACO viola section for her first main stage tour in 2023. In Melbourne, Jenny has appeared with the Melbourne Ensemble, Melbourne Chamber Players, Flinders Quartet, Inventi Ensemble, MSO and OV Chamber Players as well as Ensemble Offspring in Sydney. 

Jenny has been a tutor with the AYO since 2018, and plays regularly with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra on both violin and viola. She has appeared as Guest Concertmaster and Associate Concertmaster with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Guest Principal Second Violin at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and was Acting Associate Principal Viola at the MSO for the latter part of 2022.
