About
Naamah began playing the violin at the age of three, progressing through the AMEB to achieve Grade 7 with High Distinction. She went on to hold multiple leadership positions within the Melbourne Youth Orchestra, including Concertmaster and Principal Second Violin.
Her orchestral experience continued to grow beyond Melbourne. In 2022, she toured nationally with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic and Andrea Bocelli, and the following year she had the opportunity to work under the baton of world-renowned conductor Sir Simon Rattle. She has also been involved in multiple Australian Youth Orchestra programs, enriching her already extensive orchestral background.
Alongside her performance work, Naamah is in her 3rd year of a Bachelor of Music at the University of New England, where she is refining her craft under Markiyan Melnychenko. Her String Quartet ‘Karelia Quartet’ is a young and up and coming chamber group, regularly performing concerts around Australia having received masterclasses and tutorials from members of the ASQ and Affinity Quartet.
In addition to her studies and ensemble work, Naamah enjoys casual teaching, sharing her passion for the violin with younger students. Outside of music, she proudly supports her favourite sports teams, Collingwood and Manchester United.
